Men and Technology - Things I'll Never Understand

I've given up on OKCupid (an online dating site). I was able to get three dates out of it. After the first I never head back from the guy, the second was a disaster because I was catfished (look it up if you don't know what it means) by a guy who put pictures of himself from FIVE YEARS AGO and he was noting but a sweaty pervert, the last one...he's by far the best one so far.

His name is Josh, he's the same age as myself, he has a car, he works TWO jobs - both at Hot Topic - that have long hours, he still lives with his parents but is saving up to get his own place, and he graduated high school in tenth grade due to his positive connections with one of the school heads because he was working full time and going to school full time but still had AMAZING GRADES.

Oh, and he's a Kpop fan, a Jpop fan, a Jrock fan, a Jmetal fan, an otaku, a gamer, and loves to cuddle.

We text each other almost everyday - making sure not to get in the way of his work time - and after our first date two weeks ago we wanna hang out again. But we have one problem - his family.

Josh has told his parents about me, saying how nice and sweet and kind and cute I am, but they have they weird rules.

For example: No girls allowed in his house. Doesn't matter if he likes them as a friend or more than that, just no girls allowed.  Also, yesterday we were gonna have our second date (at my place so my mom can relax about this whole online dating thing and see how much of a good person Josh is) when his parents barged in and said that today was a "Family Time" day. According to Josh, his family has them almost every week, but NEVER on Sundays. They also decided that he needed a hair cut (his hair is almost as long as mine) and do meaningless chores like sweep outside because his older (and insane, from what I heard) sister and her husband were coming over.

Yeah, what a load of bullshit.

So Josh and I are hoping that we can do our date this Wednesday since he usually has that day off from work and I get out of school at 12:15 those days.

Now onto technology - my love/hate relationship with it has now reach its peak.

How?

It deleted a document off of my memory stick and off of the computer itself. This isn't some random fanfic document or school-related that can be sent again. It was a letter. A letter to ELLEN FUCKING DEGENERES!!! One of my heroes. She's in the Top 3 along with my mom and Yunho from TVXQ! I was writing to her in hopes of getting on her show and exposing the truth about noncompliance and neglect done to students with special needs in the public school system. I was going to tell her my story up until this point, tell her what's been going on now, and try to sneak in a few wishes I want to be granted.

How could this have fucking happened!?!?!?!?!

Now I'm gonna have to write a new letter, which I've already been procrastinating too much already. I wanted it finished and mailed off BEFORE the month of April. BUT NOOOOOOO~!!!!!!

I can't use my desktop computer because its a piece of shit and every laptop in this house is the same!

Even my dad has started to agree with me, wanting to switch to Apple, mainly because he HATES his Windows phone and I have very little problems with my two-year-old iPhone 4.
